OddBird Café | Back of House

OddBird Café is seeking dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Café Support team members to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient café environment. This role is essential to supporting daily kitchen operations, guest readiness, and overall café flow.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented, reliable, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Cross-training opportunities in prep or kitchen support may become available based on performance and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools according to sanitation standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing area
• Assist with trash removal, recycling, cleaning tasks, and operational resets
• Support overall café cleanliness, including guest-facing areas as needed
• Help clear and reset tables during busy service periods
• Maintain stocked cleaning and sanitation supplies
• Communicate equipment, supply, or maintenance concerns to leadership
• Support Back of House operations and team needs throughout service

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, kitchen, or hospitality experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and teamwork
• Positive attitude and willingness to support overall café operations
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods as needed

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods (7–8 hours)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Comfortable working around hot water, kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and food allergens
